On 27 September 2014 the world-famous Museum Night event took place at the CarpetMuseum, with the support of А+А Events.
The purpose of the event was to draw the public’s attention and especially that of young people to this aspect of our cultural heritage.
Given the unusual design of the building, the CarpetMuseum is unique: it takes the form of a folded carpet, and has become a new landmark of the capital.
Valuable historical exhibits and works of art from Guba, Gabala, Shirvan, Gazakh, Tabriz, Irevan, Ganja and Sheki, among other places, from all of Azerbaijan’s extensive history, are on display in this amazing Museum.
During the event visitors not only had the chance to view the exhibits, but were also able to attend master-classes on weaving friendship bracelets and view the paintings of the talented young artists Laman Yusifli and Mehriban Shamsaddin. In addition, a stunning video installation by Javid Guliyev was unveiled at the event.
The Night at the Museum was not without music: jazz singer Aysel Mamedova, Manual FM and DJ Hazy, as well as Natiq Ritm Qrupu, all provided a musical backdrop.
